The state Senate has passed a package of bills aimed at addressing California’s housing crisis. The measures include bills to streamline construction and boost affordable housing, including a three billion dollar affordable housing bond. Some affordable housing advocates welcome the legislature’s action, but fear the measures will not be enough to address a chronic shortage of affordable housing.
