The Gold Star parents of fallen U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, were in the Bay Area this weekend to attend a fundraiser with hundreds of other Muslim-Americans. Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazala rose to prominence after an appearance at the Democratic National Convention last year where Khan sharply criticized Donald Trump’s presidential campaign promise to ban Muslims from entering the country.
