Congressional races are heating up across the country, with the Democrats campaigning to take back control of both houses of the US Congress. Many of the democratic contenders are women - including Denise Juneau of Minnesota, vying to be the first Native American woman representative in Congress. In San Francisco, the progressive group, Emily's List hosted a fundraiser to support several candidates focusing on protecting rights to healthcare, abortion services, affordable childcare, student debt, and economic opportunity.
