Opponents of Governor Jerry Brown’s plans to build massive tunnels to divert water through the Bay Delta have posted hundreds of pages of comments they say were suppressed by state and federal agencies backing the controversial tunnel plan. The environmental group Friends of the River obtained the public comment letters after filing a Freedom of Information Act request, and it has posted them on the internet, saying people need access to pro and con information in order to evaluate the controversial peripheral tunnel plan.
