In the small Sonoma County city of Cotati, the Fair Political Practices Commission has leveled a total of nearly $37,000 in fines in a campaign finance scandal. The FPPC fined six people, including a former Cotati City Councilmember and a volunteer host of KPFA's new 8 a.m. "Morning Mix" program which replaced KPFA's popular Morning Show whose hosts were laid off by Pacifica's Executive Director.
