Chinook Salmon Return to the San Joaquin River After 65 Years

Scientists are celebrating the return of Chinook Salmon to the San Joaquin River for the first time in seventy years. It’s the result of the restoration program mandated by a landmark legal settlement between environmental groups and water users. The goal is to have a naturally self-sustaining population of the southern-most run of Chinook Salmon on the Pacific Coast. Vic Bedoian reports from Fresno.
