Measure Would Restore Voting Rights for California's Parolees

A proposed ballot measure would restore voting rights for Californians on parole. Almost 49,000 Californians on parole for past felony convictions are barred from voting in federal, state and local elections. If lawmakers pass the “Free the Vote Act,” the ballot measure could go to voters in 2020.
